Uitgever Warner Bros heeft bekendgemaakt dat LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga later uitkomt dan verwacht.
De release date zou eind 2020 zijn maar nu komt de game in de lente van 2021. Omdat het pas in 2021 uitkomt, komt het ook uit op de next-gen comsoles.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga verschijnt dus op de PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One en op de PC.

Zoals bij bijna elke game krijgt de nieuwe Lego Star Wars ook een Deluxe Edition met een ‘’ Character Collection Bundel Pack’’ met zes nieuwe DLC zoals Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Mandalorian, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, en meer. Als je de fysieke versie koopt van de Deluxe Edition dan krijg je als extra een Luke Skywalker Lego Figuur.
