Uitgever nDreams en ontwikkelaar Near Light hebben een nieuwe player versus player multiplayer shooter voor virtual reality aangekondigd met de onderstaande trailer. De game gaat FRENZIES heten en volgens de ontwikkelaar wordt dit een behoorlijk chaotische shooter.
FRENZIES krijgt naar verluidt precieze controls waarbij je in virtual reality heel precies met je wapen moet richten om raak te schieten. Uit de trailer blijkt dat je ook heel goed kan schuilen en je wapen positioneren. Ook zien we dat andere spelers met elkaar non-verhaal kunnen communiceren door handen omhoog te doen of te zwaaien. Er is geen bloed in FRENZIES, deze is namelijk vervangen door verf in de kleuren paars en roze.
Dit zijn de key features van FRENZIES volgens de ontwikkelaar:

- Subtlety is for Second Place – Pop on your onesie and strike a pose. Customization of your killer suit is as crucial as combat proficiency—is it even a win if you don’t look good at the same time?

FRENZIES heeft nog geen releasedatum maar is in ontwikkeling voor de PlayStation VR 2, Meta Quest 2 en Meta Quest 3. Het is nog onduidelijk of het hier gaat om een free-to-play of een premium game. nDreams gaat op 18 juli 2024 een beta test houden. Inschrijven om mee te doen kan via deze link.
