Veel mensen zullen het niet herinneren, maar de Commandos-games waren eens razend populair. Uitgever Kalypso Media probeert nieuw leven in de franchise te blazen door een gloednieuwe game te maken genaamd Commandos Origins.
Na 15 jaar krijgt Commandos een vervolg. In Commandos Origins bestuur je wederom de legendarisch Elite Force in meerdere missies tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. The Green Beret, the Sapper, the Sniper, the Driver, the Marine en the Spy moeten samenwerken om missies die als onmogelijk worden gezien, toch succesvol te voltooien. Commandos Origins speelt zich af in meerdere landen en continenten waaronder Europa en Afrika.

Commandos Origins staat gepland voor lancering in het jaar 2024 voor de PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X en de PC via Steam en de Epic Games Store. De game wordt ook volledig speelbaar vanaf de dag van release voor leden van Xbox Game Pass.
