God of War is momenteel de hoogst scorende PlayStation 4 exclusieve game op Metacritic met een gemiddelde van 94. Zelf waren wij enorm te spreken over God of War en beloonden deze game met een ongelofelijke eindcijfer. Maar hebben de zeer positieve reviewscores ook effect gehad op verkoopcijfers?
Sony laat nu weten dat God of War de best verkopende exclusieve PS4-game ooit is geworden. In de eerste drie dagen sinds lancering is de game een gigantische 3.1 miljoen keer verkocht. Inmiddels is de game twee weken uit en dus zijn de cijfers nu ongetwijfeld veel hoger. Om een vergelijking te maken, Uncharted 4 verkocht in de eerste week 2.7 miljoen exemplaren terwijl Horizon: Zero Dawn 1.83 miljoen exemplaren wist te verkopen in de eerste week.
