Volgens bekende insider en journalist Tom Henderson is het een kwestie van tijd voordat Ubisoft, de game Beyond Good & Evil 2 gaat annuleren.
Henderson zegt dat het project momenteel nog in ontwikkeling is, maar de mensen die hij heeft gesproken zijn niet heel positief over de voortgang. Volgens de bronnen van Henderson, is het een kwestie van tijd voordat Ubisoft een knoop door gaat hakken en gaat stoppen met het project.
Sinds 2019 heeft Ubisoft geen update gegeven of beelden uitgebracht van Beyond Good & Evil 2. In 2020 verliet de bedenker en game directeur van de game namelijk Michel Ancel, het project en Ubisoft.
What's worse, is that the game currently doesn't fit with Ubisoft's future ambitions and goals with future titles. The game has been described as "Skull & Bones 2.0" and although the game hasn't been canned officially, some developers believe it's a matter of time before it is.

I thought this was clear but apparently not – The game is still in development, but a couple of people I spoke with BELIEVE it's a matter of time before it's canned.
