Men of Medan is de nieuwe horrorgame van ontwikkelaar Supermassive Games, de studio achter de geprezen Until Dawn. Uitgever Bandai Namco heeft vandaag een nieuwe trailer van de game vrijgegeven die wat nieuwe gameplaybeelden toont maar nog interessanter, gaat over multiplayer.
Hoewel Men of Medan een pure verhaalgedreven game is, is er wel ondersteuning voor online of offline co-op. Online is er een ondersteuning voor twee spelers co-op, waarbij je soms tegelijk speelt en soms alleen. Offline is er ondersteuning voor maximaal vijf spelers waarbij iedere speler, één karakter uit de game bestuurt en daarmee ook de bijhorende keuzes. Natuurlijk kan je de game ook helemaal offline in je eentje spelen zoals je dat deed in Until Dawn.
Namco Bandai Beschrijft multiplayer in Men of Medan als volgt:
Shared Story Mode (Online)
- Share the story simultaneously with a friend in two-player online co-op.
- Both players explore the world, make choices and perform actions that affect the outcome of the story and the fate of their respective characters.
- Traverse scenes through a different perspective from the single-player experience—sometimes together, sometimes apart—in totally separate scenes revealing new information, locations and scares.
Movie Night Mode (Offline)
- Play locally in a group of up to five players with one controller, with each player taking charge of the movement, decisions and choices of one of the five main characters.
- Players can choose between saving themselves, or trying to keep their friends’ characters alive.
- At the end of each playthrough, actions and impacts will be judged – with achievements & rewards for each player.
Men of Medan zal dit jaar verschijnen voor de PC, Xbox One en de PlayStation 4.
