Tijdens The Game Awards van 2019 werd de horrorgame The Callisto Protocol uit onthuld, een project van veel voormalige ontwikkelaars van de Dead Space-games.
Na de onthulling werd het stil rondom dit project, maar binnenkort gaat daar verandering in komen. Glen Schofield, de game directeur van The Callisto Protocol, zegt op Twitter dat het geduld van gamers gewaardeerd wordt terwijl het team werkt aan de afronding en polish van de game. Daarmee lijkt Schofield te hinten dat het project grotendeels af is en dat de laatste puntjes op de I worden gezet.
Ook zegt Schofield dat er binnenkort meer gedeeld gaat worden over The Callisto Protocol. Een gameplay onthulling lijkt dus dichtbij.
The Callisto Protocol staat gepland voor een release in 2022 voor de PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S en de PC.
