Populaire Hollywood-acteur Dwayne Johnson, ook bekend als The Rock, speelt mogelijk in een nieuwe film gebaseerd op Call of Duty.
Dat claimen Giant Freakin Robot en Tom Henderson. Volgends bronnen van deze insiders, zou The Rock in gesprek zijn om te spelen in een Call of Duty-film.
Vorige week liet The Rock weten dat hij in een nieuwe film gebaseerd op een populaire game franchise gaat spelen, maar hij wilde niet zeggen welke game-serie. De film zou wel dit jaar aangekondigd worden.
I can’t tell you which game in particular we’re doing, but there will be an announcement this year,” The Rock said. “We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen–one that I’ve played for years. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world. Of course we’re going to do right by our gamer friends–but really we’re just going to make a great movie.”
In 2015 wilde Activision al een cinematisch universum rondom Call of Duty opbouwen, maar in 2020 meldde Activision dat het geen prioriteit meer was.
Vooralsnog is er officieel geen film gebaseerd op Call of Duty aangekondigd, met Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in de hoofdrol.
