Red Dead Online-spelers zijn niet blij met de hoeveelheid downloadable content en ondersteuning voor de game. Volgens de community voegt Rockstar Games te weinig content toe, terwijl GTA Online wel goed wordt ondersteund.
Afgelopen kwam de community samen met de hashtag #SaveRedDeadOnline op Twitter. Heel snel werd #SaveRedDeadOnline trending op Twitter. Red Dead Online-spelers zijn ontevreden dat GTA Online altijd de voorrang krijgt en dat er geen roadmap is voor eventuele Red Dead content in de nabije toekomst. De vraag is nu of Rockstar Games gaat reageren op de wensen van de community.
Dat Rockstar Games, de voorrang geeft aan GTA Online is niet echt verrassend, ondanks dat Red Dead Online een nieuwere game is. GTA Online heeft namelijk veel meer actieve spelers. Met de aankomende next-gen versie van GTA V, zal het aantal spelers ongetwijfeld nog toenemen.

I apologise for my rant but I’ve waited so long for them to harness this amazing game. Rockstar made a lot of promises back in 2018 that it would constantly evolve but clearly it ain’t.
It’s been two years of having to put up this behaviour. It’s ridiculous and outrageous.
