De PlayStation 4-exclusieve Spider-man van ontwikkelaar Insomniac Games verschijnt in september. Voor de mensen die meer willen weten over deze Spider-man en Peter Parker komt er een prequel stripboek in augustus en zal gedrukt worden door Titanbooks.
Het stripboek zal Spider-man: Hostile Takeover heten en voor de gebeurtenissen van de Spider-man- game afspelen. Het wordt geschreven door David Liss, bekend van The Ethical Assassin, Black Panther: The Man Without Fear. Het verhaal in Spider-man Hostile Takeover zal voornamelijk gaan over Kingpin en zijn kwaadaardige plannen om New York in handen te krijgen. Belangrijke personages die een opwachting zullen maken in deze comic zijn: Shocker, Echo, the Blood Spider, J. Jonah Jameson, Mary Jane Watson en Wilson Fisk
