Metal Slug Tactics combineert het bekende gameplay van de serie met roguelike-elementen voor een unieke gameplay-ervaring. Metal Slug Tactics bevat veel actie, strategie en een grote aantal upgrade mogelijkheden om het gevecht op een eigen manier te spelen. Spelers kunnen kiezen uit een brothers in arms uit de gehele Metal Slug-series.

Metal Slug Tactics staat gepland voor lancering tegen het einde van 2024 voor de PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X en de PC via Steam.
Een gratis demo van de game wordt gratis beschikbaar gemaakt voor de PC via Steam. De demo tot 17 juni 2024 speelbaar als onderdeel van het Steam Next Fest-evenement.
