Biography

Gareth Ferguson’s love for online gambling started the same way as most good stories, with football. What began as keeping track of stats and odds for his favourite teams turned into a full-blown fascination with how tech, data, and player-focused development shape online gambling.   Now as Editor-in-Chief at 1337 Games, Gareth leads a sharp crew of writers and testers who cut through the noise to bring players honest, no-fluff insights about where to play. With over a decade in digital media and gaming, he’s built a reputation for mixing solid know-how with a player’s perspective.

As Editor-in-Chief, my job isn’t to sell you hype. It’s to give you clear, honest opinions and data so you can make the right choice on where you play.

Experience

Gareth began his career as a content writer at OddsLab, a small UK startup focused on football analytics and betting insights. There, he developed a sense for turning complex statistics into clear, actionable information for readers who wanted to make smarter bets. His ability to translate numbers into stories quickly caught attention, and he soon moved into editorial roles. He later joined PlayScout Media, an international casino and sportsbook review site network, where he managed multilingual teams and built editorial strategies around transparency and user trust. Before taking on his current role at 1337 Games, Gareth served as Head of Content at BetSmart, leading initiatives that focused on responsible gaming education and honest platform testing
